Created in 2012 and based in Nantes, France, [H]ikari specializes in the development, production, management and touring of Arts and Culture projects.

Born from a will and passion to serve the beauty of art -dance in particular-, and armed with boundless enthusiasm and solid work ethics, [H]ikari endeavors to help create the highest quality of art, and bring it to the widest range of audiences, firmly shying away from any type of elitism.

From its inception, [H]ikari has closely worked with Shantala Shivalingappa, a Parisian dancer of Indian origin, not only a figurehead of Kuchipudi in the West, but also a highly acclaimed contemporary dancer.

Many have recognized her incredible virtuosity and marveled at her unique and extremely rich career, with collaborators such as Pina Bausch, Peter Brook, Maurice Béjart, Bartabas (Zingaro), Ushio Amagatsu (Sankai Juku) and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, among others. [H]ikari was instrumental in creating the Shantala Shivalingappa Company, and produces and tours all her works, seeking to support and build her vision.

[H]ikari also manages all European touring for the Ririe Woodbury Dance Company. Based in Salt-Lake City, USA, this company is internationally known as the repository of American choreographer Alwin Nikolais’s entire repertory.

They continue to perform the works of this great visionary and founding father of contemporary dance.

Since Spring 2014 [H]ikari offers support in management and booking to the Nantes-based Compagnie OnVousEmmène, who produces works around clown and dance techniques, for children and adults with disabilities.

[H]ikari works with young dance/theater companies, giving them support and guidance on matters of production and management.

[:fr]Structure imaginée et créée au cours de l’année 2012, [H]ikari produit, diffuse, administre et développe des projets dans le domaine des Arts et de la Culture. Née de la volonté de servir la beauté de l’art, la danse en particulier, en conscience et en tordant le coup à certaines idées dominantes qui considèrent que l’exigence artistique ne peut rimer qu’avec élitisme, elle œuvre au déploiement du Projet Artistique sous toutes ses formes et pour tous les publics.
[H]ikari porte la Compagnie Shantala Shivalingappa, figure de proue du kuchipudi en occident, mais aussi grande interprète du répertoire contemporain, avec de prestigieuses collaborations en ce domaine : Pina Bausch, Sidi  Larbi-Cherkaoui, Ushio Amagatsu (Sankai Juku) entre autres…. D’aucuns reconnaissent son incroyable virtuosité au regard de son parcours extrêmement riche et atypique.
[H]ikari a aussi l’honneur de diffuser en Europe le travail de la compagnie de danse butô Sankai Juku – Ushio Amagatsu.
Enfin, [H]ikari accompagne également le développement des compagnies nantaises R14 – juliengrosvalet et GR infini – Gaël Rougegrez, et propose aux jeunes artistes nantais des temps de soutien administratif et de production.
