Ferran Savall and Shantala Shivalingappa collaborated for the first time in 2005.
In 2007, Pina Bausch chose a song recorded live in concert by Ferran, to accompany the Solo that she created for Shantala. This piece, integrated in a show called « Namasya », toured around the world.
Then in 2008, Shantala requested Ferran’s presence on stage for a special private program for the French fashion house Hermès.
In 2010, the two artists met again for the Festival Divinamente Roma where they premiered Bhavana, with Mario Mas playing Spanish guitar.
Now, initiated by the prestigious Mercat de les Flors (Barcelone) and its director Francesc Casadeus, these two artists once more gather around a common project, on the occasion of the release of Ferran’s new album titled IMPRO. This « concert for a dancer » is created around a subtle blend of Ferran’s music and Shantala’s unique dancing, accopanied by Driss El Manouni (Oud), David Mayoral (Percussion), Jordi Gaspar (Double bass and Acoustic bass), Nedyalko Nedyalkov (Kaval), the music and movement shaping each other.
Word Premiere on December 2014, co-produce by the Mercat de les Flors of Barcelona and festival Temporada Alta of Girona (Spain) and FIND – India-Europe Fondation for New Dialogues (Roma, it).

Ferran Savall et Shantala Shivalingappa collaborent pour la première fois en 2005 à l’occasion d’un concert dansé.
En 2007 Pina Bausch choisit un morceau enregistré live en concert par le chanteur, pour habiller musicalement le solo qu’elle vient de créer pour Shantala. Le spectacle « Namasya », dont il fait partie, fera le tour du monde. En 2008, à nouveau, Shantala fait appel à Ferran pour l’accompagner sur un programme pour une soirée privée de la maison Hermès. Enfin en 2010, les deux artistes se retrouvent à l’occasion du Festival Divinamente Roma où ils présentent ensemble Bhavana, accompagnés de Mario Mas à la guitare espagnole.
Cette fois, c’est à l’initiative du prestigieux Mercat de les Flors et de son directeur Francesc Casadeus que nos deux virtuoses se retrouvent autour de ce projet commun, à l’occasion de la sortie du prochain album de Ferran qui s’intitulera IMPRO.
Ce Concert pour une danseuse se crée autour de l’alliance subtile de la musique de Ferran et de la danse unique de Shantala, accompagnés de Driss El Maloumi (Oud), David Mayoral (Percussions), Jordi Gaspar (Contrebasse), Nedyalko Nedyalkov (Kaval), où le mouvement et la musique se construisent ensemble.
Création en décembre 2014, en co-production avec le Mercat de les Flors à Barcelone et le festival Temporada Alta à Gérone (Espagne) et FIND – Fondation Inde-Europe pour les Nouveaux Dialogues (Roma, it)
